Young Scientist Award given to UVAS teacher

UNIVERSITY of Veterinary and Animal Science (UVAS) Lahore’s Assistant Professor Dr Amjad Riaz has been awarded “Young Scientist Award” during the International Congress on Animal Reproduction (ICAR) 2012 held recently at Vancouver, Canada. This award was on the competitive basis from the developing countries and comprised $ 1500. He presented his research on predicting the buffalo ovarian reserves by ultrasonography. This research can help to establish Embryo Transfer Technology in buffalo.

Dr Amjad was a team member of the delegation of four Pakistani veterinarians and animal scientists led by Professor Dr Nasim Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, UVAS. More than 900 delegates from 62 different countries participated in the congress.
